About Laura Larkin (She/Her)

Laura is a psychologist in private practice, based in Wandin in the beautiful Yarra Valley—the land of the Wurundjeri people. She is passionate about supporting individuals to navigate life’s challenges and emotional pain, helping them move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Laura can offer in-person appointments in Wandin, or virtual appointments via telehealth.
With experience delivering evidence-based therapy across individual, group, and Telehealth settings, Laura has worked with clients of diverse ages and backgrounds. She supports people facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, anger, post-traumatic stress, grief, relationship and parenting difficulties, perinatal mental health, and sleep issues.
Laura brings a strong foundation in clinical research to her therapeutic work, ensuring her approach is grounded in the most current and effective practices. Her professional background includes work with children and families in private practice, the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Pain Management Services, Outpatient Trauma Services, and Child and Youth Public Mental Health Services.
Laura draws on her experience and training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based treatments, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy when working with clients. Read more about these therapies here
Qualifications.
Laura is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a member of The Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
She holds a Master of Psychology (Clinical), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced), a Bachelor of Science (Psychophysiology, Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Psychophysiology). Laura is originally from Melbourne, and completed her education and training in Victoria, Australia.
